Good Afternoon everyone. A small group of us are heading to ride and are staying at Buffalo Trail Campground (Nov 25-28). Website looks very nice along with the what the campground offers. if anyone has been there before, any recommends, advise or feedback would be welcomed?
The website states that the Pocahontas Trailhead of the Hatfield/McCoy Trail system is 3.5 miles away. Says you can take State Road 71N to the trailhead, will we have any issues with law enforcement as long as we are all wearing helmets and following traffic laws?
According to the maps it looks like Pocahontas trail 15 will take us into Indian ridge? and Indian Ridge trail 27 will take us to Pinnacle creek? Any help with some great lunch spots in an ATV friendly town would be great as well as some great sites to see if anyone can remember the trail number etc., so we can mark it.
Thanks for any input, will be our first trip to this area.
Hey guys wondering how kid friendly the trails are at Rush, I have a 3 year old and 5 year old that ride with me. I usually go to a place without them first to familiarize myself with the trails before taking the kiddos but we may be planning a last minute trip there and I’ve never been. Trying to decide if I should take the kids or not. Don’t want no debate about if kids should be in a sxs or none of that crap. Save it for another thread!
Just asking if the place is marked well so I don’t get into any spots to rough with them and is there enough "easier" trails for the family to go and have a good time.
A handful of us are planning to head down to Windrock on Saturday. This will be our first trip down there, but we have been to Brimstone and royal blue. Any suggestions on some good technical trails?
hey all, headed to trails end and brimstone this weekend and would like to find some rock trails. Was there a little over a week ago and didn’t come across any real good rock. I have heard there is some there and would like to check it out. Heard about a trail widow maker does any one know where it is. Trail suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks
We’re currently at the Ashland Resort riding the Hatfield McCoy trails and heading over to Tn when we leave here next week and am confused on the permits needed to ride the different areas. I understand Windrock is private and has its own Permits. Brimstone has its own as well but looking at Trailsend they show to require a Tn 037 permit for out of state resident is right at $200 for an annual but ride royal blue website shows Annual out of state permit combo, type 071+093, $130.00 . So can I buy the 071+093 and ride Trails end area???? Does each area require different type permits?? Dang too confusing and expensive. Campgrounds are expensive as well . Already spent 100 for HM permits and over 500 on campground. We’d like to spend a couple weeks or so in the east Tn area but having to buy expensive permits for every area is pretty ridiculous.
