Wheel/tire combo plus S&H

Hello. I really need some help. I’m a relatively new ATV rider. I have a 2008 700 Grizzly FI. Not EPS. I mostly ride light mud and trails. I’m looking to upgrade from stock tires. I’ll need new wheels too. I have to have a wheel/tire combo that has the same stock total width as the rear, or very close (my trailer only gives me a couple inches to spare on each side). And I don’t want to do any plastic trimming or have any rubbing issues. And I don’t want to do any transmission upgrades. And I don’t want to cause any CV boot issues. Could I run ITP 312s in 12 x 7 on all four wheels with original Big Horns (26x9x14 and 26x11x11) without enlarging the total width, without rubbing, and without having transmission or CV issues? Would you recommend different sized wheels F & R? I don’t understand the whole wheel offset thing. Can you recommend anything else can the tires be mounted and balanced when shipped? What’s your total price with wheel lugs & stems? My best, Tim

Rage Storm Review

After much anticipation on our part, we were able to test the Rage Storm tires at this year’s Discount Tire Rally on the Rocks.

We had four vehicles in our group fitted with Rage Storm tires and the Tread Lightly! Trail Restoration Project on Sevenmile Trail served as the first testing grounds. After we completed the fence building we went over to Wipe out Hill for our own type of recreation. The Rage Storm tires gripped the steep rock face with ease. The stability of the center rib design along with the flat tread pattern delivered solid traction. We never slipped a tire on this intimidating obstacle.

This year we had some rain to make the trails even a bit more challenging at times with the added mud/sand mixture on parts of the trail.

The high void ratio tread cleaned out the sand/mud on Cliffhanger even with wet sandy soil. We had no problem with traction what-so-ever.

We found the Rage Storm tires lived up to our expectations. The 8 ply rated tire held up to everything we threw at them on some of the toughest trails in Moab.

Climbing ledges was not a problem as the tires found grip on even the steepest surfaces such as Wipe Out Hill, Cliffhanger and the Z turn on Moab Rim Trail.

The added protection from the wrap around lugs came in handy on many of the obstacles as we bounced off many boulders along the way.

If you are looking for a tough performance tire at a value price take a look at the Rage Storm.

Key FEATURES:

  • Two Center Ribs improve handling in all conditions
  • Wrap around sidewall tread lugs for improved side bite
  • Radial design for optimal ride comfort
  • Stepped tread blocks improve stability and help reduce stone retention
  • Reptilian surface design for efficient clean out of mud and debris
  • 6 and 8 Ply rated constructions for puncture resistance

Rage Thunder 27’s on 14″ STI HD3’s (6+1)

Hey Discount Tire,

Just wanted to say thanks for the sweet deal over Memorial Day. So far I am loving these 27" Rage Thunder tires.

From the stock setup, I gained 2" of clearance (9.75" at the hitch to 11.75"). They are super smooth and grip well on the hard terrain. Can’t wait to get them into some mud and other terrain.

You guys are fricken awesome to do business with. THANKS!

We put the Regulator A/T to the test this past week on the rugged trails in Moab, UT at the Discount Tire Rally on the Rocks Event. Our testing grounds for this tire were
Sevenmile Rim (including Wipe out Hill), Moab Rim Trail, Poison Spider (in the rain!) and Cliff Hanger. Those of you that have been to Moab know these are trails that will
put the toughness of your tire to the test. With 8-Ply rated radial construction derived from Light Truck tire design, the Tensor Regulator A/T proved to be a worthy competitor.

The Regulator A/T utilizes a wide contact patch that dramatically increases traction. Couple this with an optimized rubber compound for all conditions and the dry, wet and
at times sandy slickrock were no match for the Regulator A/T. The grip was simply outstanding. We also put approximately 60 miles of pavement on these tires, at highway
speeds, while making our way to and from the trails. The tires ran straight, smooth and with limited road noise. At the end of the week they showed very little wear.

If you are looking for a tough UTV tire that delivers excellent traction and treadwear, the Tensor Regulator A/T may be worth a look.

Key Features

  • 19/32nds tread depth (all sizes)
  • Deep tread lug on the shoulders for improved cornering traction
  • Variable tread pattern delivers smoothest, quietest ride possible
  • Wider footprint for enhanced handling and braking
  • Steel belted construction derived from Light Truck tire design
  • 8-Ply Construction with nylon reinforcement layer
