First oil change

Upon picking up my new 850, I asked my dealer about getting my machine serviced at 10-15 hour mark. He strongly suggested to wait until the message came up on my screen. I’d rather be safe than sorry but my dealer didn’t seem to interested in my business at the 15 hour mark. Thoughts? Thanks

Thinking about purchasing a 570L Max

Hey all, new member here. Haven’t posted much, mostly just lurk. We’ve been looking at new ATV’s, the Honda Rancher or Rubicon, or a Can Am Outlander L in particular. Honda doesn’t seem to be listening to the market and they still don’t offer a 2-up model, and our other ATV, a Suzuki Vinson 500 with a straight axle has a rough ride, especially with a passenger.

We’re looking for a safer and more comfortable alternative, and Can-Am seems to be one of the more talked about brands who make a 2-up. I was wondering how the Outlanders, in paticular the L model, hold up over time, and how reliable they are if maintained properly. We’ve always owned Japanese bikes, first a Yamaha Moto-4, then a Fourtrax, and then a Suzuki, so switching to something we have no experience with is a little intimidating.

However, as I said, none of the Japanese manufacturers are producing 2 ups, and I’ve heard nothing but complaints about Polaris and Arctic Cat’s new models, so it seems like a Can-Am is our best available option. I’d like to hear anything, good or bad anyone has to say about Can-Am, the 570L in paticular.

Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

2016 850xt max first impressions

First ride impressions on first can am – Stock except colored hand guards.
Nice! Rides nice. Can’t understand why most complain about stock suspension. I guess I’m not too aggressive. Love the sound, just a little growl but no blaht. The whirl I hear is different, I’m a 25 yr popo man. I know. The smooth roar of the v is very satisfying. Those wondering about the hotspot issues, just warm plastic. My old sportsman 500 plastics will bend/flex easily at temperature. The clatter of a hard thumb throttle will take some practice on my behalf. Overall, very impressed with the looks and performance.
My one question. I test drove a 2015 650xt and popo 2015 850. Both on grass stretched my arms a little w acceleration. This machine gits going in a hurry but didn’t have that pull sensation. Too much power and not hooking up w driving surface?? I’m not looking for top end but that little pucker and grin getting up there. Thanks

Whats available world wide?

Just asking , does anybody know if can-am dealers around the world have access to any model made by canam?

I will explain further , they seem to make US or European models for release in that country , but don’t carry every model in that country.

I have my eye on a 2016 renegade 570 xxc , which seems to be avail in most euro country’s , but not the US or Australia, were I am.

So has anybody in the US or Australia got a local dealer to order something that wasn’t released to dealers there, but still made in Canada?
( a dealer special order , straight from the factory , I guess you would call it)

Me myself cant see why dealers world wide cant sell every thing made by can-am , even if it has to be ordered in special

Thanks.
