I have a ’05 Traxter 650 CVT. The past 2 times attempting to ride, the bike starts right up, runs fine but has nothing once I shift into reverse, hi or low gear,, just as if it were in park or neurtal. I continued messing w/ it shifting it around and while giving it some gas while in gear it finally caught and would move. The first time I rode it around shortly thinking it was just a fluke but did it again last night so something is up. Not sure if its the CVT/clutch. I read somewhere that the wrong kind of oil can maybe cause this?? I use Valvoline ATV 10W-40. Only 39 hours on the bike. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks in advance.

I have a 2005/6 John Deere Buck (Traxter) 500 auto shift. There is a loud screeching noise when in motion. I determined the noise was coming from the shield in front of the coupling on the input to the rear differential. This shield is loose with a little play, does not rotate at idle, but turns and screeches when moving. Spraying WD40 on the shield eliminates the noise.
What would cause this and how do I permanently fix this?
Thank you.

Got an old Traxter ,after a carb cleaning and fresh gas got it going ,it seems the sprag clutch (one way bearing) its on the last leg . Started looking for parts and the only thing I cant find is the gasket for the ignition cover
Part # 711 650 600 or new number 420 650 600 .For some reason some 2000 models use the 420 650 603 which is available but mine 2000 7415 uses the discontinued part .I do have a picture of the 603 gasket (from ebay) but cant find any pictures of the 600 just to see and compare the two.
Does anyone have any idea where I can find a 420 650 600 ?

I run an 05 650 Traxtermax xt. Smashed Speedo…started looking online. Found some nice aftermarket digital ones. Has anyone here used one of these with success
