I’m currently in the market for a quad. I have been riding dirt bikes and trikes for 20 years. Looking to switch over to atv. My budget is around 5k. The dealer is selling a new sportsman 400 for right around my price range I just don’t know I’m better off buying a 5 year old 500 or a 600 for the same price range. Going to use it for mud and trails with the kids. I’m under 200 lbs. Is a 400 under powered ? Will I regret it ?

I just picked up a "new to me" magnum. When in nuetrual i idles and revs good. In drive and it idles good. When take off slow ots good. When you hit the gas to really go, it bogs down a lot. Can this be the CDI or am i missing something?

I have a 2012 sportsman 500HO, a 2008 400HO, and a 2014 570 EFI, as well as a Pro x 800 sled, and a custom built 440 sport with a 153 inch mountain suspension and track under it for trapping.

Just so ya know, I need some advice on issues relating to problems I am having with my new 570.

New guy here. I just bought a 06 sportsman 500 HO. This is my second Polaris; my first was a 2000 500 that I used for plowing snow back in Minnesota.

Finally registered. Been visiting the forums looking at posts to get opinions and see what kinda things other Polaris owners deal with. I am a part time atv mechanic and Polaris is my favorite to ride and work on Between my dad, brother, and myself we have a collection that consists of a 97 Trail Boss, 95 Xplorer 400 4×4, 00 Xplorer 400 4×4, 99 Magnum 325 4×4, 97 yamaha big bear 2×4, 07 honda 4×4 and previously owned a 96 Xpress 400 2×4. Like i said we love the Polaris.

i have already found some good info on this site and ppl seem to be pretty decent to deal with thanks i live in danbury wi drive ready mix truck in summer & log skidder in the winter. The last 7yrs i been on a 660 raptor but sick of the hard saddle and shifting all the time…. i had the girl friend on a 2000 500 scrambler and liked it alot so when the timing gear broke we retired it. Never had a brand new machine but for mostly trail riding i think its the answer. I hope the check out this site from time to time to see how things are going and ask a few questions every now & then ttyl

Hello everyone. Ive been lurking your site for 2 weeks now since I bought a Polaris 850. I live in Florida for the last 24 yrs, My daughter started going to the Punta Gorda Red Neck Yacht Club about 4 yrs ago,Finally talked me into going 1 1/2 yrs ago. Now I have 2 wranglers and 3 atv’s. All have been a labor of love. I only buy abused forgotten toys.
