Hi- I just purchased a used 2013 Polaris sportsman 500 HO. Would anyone know what the warranty is? It only has 90 hours and 247 miles on it and i was not sure if it would still be in warranty .
Also- what should it idle at? it sounds like its to low of an idle , around 930RPM. And when I hit the throttle up a bit while parked and let off once the idle goes down it makes a clicking noise somewhere toward the top of engine area under seat, not sure what it is. But is seems to run great.
I am going to serivce it, any suggestions besides the recommended services?

I am looking at purchasing a new or used Polaris Sportsman 850 or 1000 EPS. Is there anything I should look out for? I am unfamiliar with them and am going to look at a Used 850 EPS with 400 miles on saturday. If that does not work out I will probably purchase a new one. What are the common issues?

New member from St. Louis, MO. Just bought my first ATV, 2010 Sportsman 550 XP EPS. Only has about 750 miles on it, but am realizing it has a pretty harsh engagement. Have been reading on the Forum about possible fixes, what have you found that works the best? Thanks in advance!

Just bought myself my first 4 wheeler…a 2004.5 sportsman 700 efi and although I am having some issues I must say it’s a bunch of fun. I’m not a youngster but a semi old timer that’s been riding & fixing bikes since I could walk…it’s in the blood…LOL..
Thank goodness for this forum & it’s valuable members & a Polaris shop manual to help me walk through the common problems and get this machine back up to snuff.
Hello everybody. Just bought my 1st atv. 2001 Sportsman 500ho Ducks Unlimited. Already gotten a ton of info off the site! Bought this mainly for snow removal, but the kids are already addicted to riding around the country! I can see more atv’s in my future! Got a pretty good deal I think($1700) for quad with plow. Needs some tinkering, but its a good project with my son. Thanks again for all the info….
