Newb in NJ

Hey All, already posted in the 570 Forum then saw that as a "newb" lol, I should of started here. I’m in central NJ, wife recently decided to park her dirt bikes (after 20 yrs!) and go with 4 wheels so we picked up a ’15 570 for her. We ride most of the area moto tracks and trail ride the X trail, Lost trails, Anthricite, Pottsville etc. I guess the nice thing is we now have someone to carry extra fuel for us on those trail rides!

Just joined – TX

Just signed up for what looks like a great forum. We are looking to get back into the ATV world now that our kids are old enough. 3&6 yo boys. We had 2 sportsmans before kids 700 twin and I think mine was a 500 or something like that nice dark red color if that helps.

We are looking to do trail/scenic riding and camping.

So hi and any input on great websites for equipment and stuff would help

Also I’m TEX on Cummins Forum

Another guy from Ohio

Hi all, figured I’d check in here before I forget!

I picked up a ’15 Scrambler 1k little over a week ago… so far I Love it!

Went on a little ride with a buddy and his new ’15 Renegade 1k this weekend. Both machines are awesome and do everything a little different.

We did find the ‘gade runs out ahead about a quad length for about 50 ish feet, then the scrambler goes around it and keeps pulling away. Riders approx same weight. Regardless, both are awesome.

We’re pumped for a good ride down at Wayne this summer, get these things broke in right!!

Hello From AZ.

Just got my first ATV. 1995 Xplorer 400 4×4. 700 miles on it from next door neighbor that bought it new. I am surrounded by forest roads here around Prescott Az. I just moved up here a year ago. My 3/4 ton F250 rides like crap on these roads. Looking forward to some exploring and learning here on the forum. Going to post a question in tires now. MayerDave

Newb to ATV’s and Polaris from MN

Hello all! New guy from Central MN here. I’m 28, married with 2 kids. I’m a hobbyist gearhead, and big snowmobiler (albeit always been a Cat guy). I picked up a ’94 400L, 2 smoke, liquid, 4×4, just before Christmas last year. It’s my first ATV and first Polaris for that matter. Paid $200 for it through one of my dad’s friends. The guy whom owned it passed away some time ago, mid-repair of the machine. I got it as a almost complete roller. All I was told was that it was supposed to have run and drove, but something was "wrong with the drivetrain". Well, I buttoned it back up, kinda reverse engineering the reassembly in the process to figure it all out. Got it running, and it drove. Only problem was the trans. It would grind and pop out in reverse if it had any significant load. Found out the linkages were out of adjustment. All was well then. I then cleaned and rebuilt the carb, flushed all fluids (engine balancer, front hubs, transmission, etc.) greased the zerks, lubed the chain and all has been well for the most part. The internet (forums like this one) and service manual downloads have been a big help and getting this thing back together. The only other parts I’ve replaced have been the battery (with a new AGM battery), starter and drive, fuel shutoff, and cooling fan. My kids love going for rides around the yard, albeit slowly as they’re only 4 and 3 years old. I still need to get some helmets for them too if I’m ever going to take it out of low range, haha. The body’s a little rough, but nothing is broken and everything works now, save for the primary clutch is going out. I’ll have to post the issue there in another sub forum, and I’ll have to get some pics too! Hope to learn from here and maybe contribute here and there in the future. Have a good day!
