Hey guys, I purchased a new (red) voltage regulator for a 97 Polaris xplorer 400 but realized later that mine is a 98. Will this new red regulator work in place of my old black one? I have a red and a brown wire coming from my circuit board which is my power and ground. Then I have a yellow, a yellow with red stripe and a yellow with brown stripe coming from my stator. The new regulator has a red, brown, yellow, Yellow with red stripe and a black with yellow stripe. Do all the matching wires connect to their respective colors and does the Yellow with brown stripe coming from my ATV connect to the black with yellow on the new regulator? Thanks
Finally pulled the trigger. Took her out to Down South Off-Road in Crosby Texas and realized I need tires. Looking at some Mega Mayhems. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hello all, wanted to post a kick-off posting here and say HI!
Just picked up a ’15 Sportsman 850 SP and wanted register and stop lurking on the site in read only mode… Feels like I have been reading on this site for months and just hadn’t registered yet.
Hey everyone, thanks for taking a look at this. I just bought a used 98 magnum 425 4×4 and realized that I needed to replace the petcock. While I had it open I did a rebuild on the carburetor. (I had at one point unscrewed the throttle cable and worry I might have adjusted it wrong.) I put it back together and it ran bad for a couple of minutes while fuel burned off. Then it ran really well for 10 minutes (first time it ran without choke.) I turned it off and put the plastic back on. I turned it back on and it ran really high (as if I was really cranking the gas) then died and won’t restart. The starter sounds like it is going but it won’t start (just kind of wumps.) Any thoughts on what I might have done, or what I can do to fix it?
