New member with a 570
Hello everyone! My brother and I each got a new 570 yesterday. We have been on bikes/ATVs for since we were old enough to ride pedal bikes. Neither one of us had ever purchased a toy brand new before. After riding lots of different ATVs in the past and lurking the ATV forums I was set on a 570. So far this forum has offered a bunch of great info for both of us.

New to the ATV world
We recently sold our snowmobiles to move to the ATV scene. We’re going to start on some older bikes and see how much we ride then update if it looks like we’ll use them a lot. I picked up a 97 Magnum 425 4×4 and a 97 Sportsman 500. The Magnum came with a Wes lounger and the Sportsman came with a winch, plow and rack extensions. The whole package was $1800 including 3 usable helmets. Seemed like a good deal even though both need a good going through. I know I need to do things like chains and a seat cover on the Magnum and rear ujoints, clutch cover, pull start and brakes on the Sportsman. Let me know what you think. Thanks for reading.
New Guy with Some Questions
Hello everyone. I’m new to ATVs and don’t know very much about them. I bought a 2008 500 Sportsman with 565 miles on it. Two questions: Can anyone tell me where to find the dip stick for the transmission fluid and where the drain spot is? I downloaded the manual but it is very hard to understand. (I don’t know Jack about mechanics.) Last question: I found a piece under the bike (picture attached). Does anyone know what this is? Thank you for you help.
first time quaderr
hey guys and gals,
i bought a used 96 polaris 425 magnum 4×4 because i joined a 3000 acre hunting camp and i need something to scout effectively and hopefully drag the big one out. the atv came with a bunch of extra parts and i got it for 725 so it was a good deal. only problem now is the starter is messing up and she aint got no brakes. i wouldnt mind riding without brakes but the camp is very hilly and new terrain to me so i dont wana rip it to hard b4 i put on brakes. my other hobbies include meat processing, fishing, smoking meats and being outdoors.

Eh, New Guy.
So I am new to owning a four wheeler. Have ridden them all my life but I decided to rebuild a 1974 Jeep CJ5 and got into that circuit. Now I really want to get back to four wheelers. Just bought a 1991 Trail Boss 250 4X4. Going through it and making it good again. I am in the Army about to retire. I work on the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Helicopter. It has been a great 19.5 years but it is time to move on. I have a family of 4 Girls and myself. (Yes I am looking for pitty) I love all of them but holy —-.
Inner tapered roller bearings on 2002 polaris sportsman
I am having trouble finding the correct part # for the inner tapered roller bearings for a 2002 polaris sportsman 500 6×6. I bought a rebuild kit which only fits the hub side. the cv shaft is a different diameter for the inner strut bearings 27mm, than the outer hub bearings 25mm. I cant get them past the Hilliard clutch splines. do you have to hone them to fit? online on several different sites it says that all four bearings are the same part# which is not the case… Any wisdom and advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.:pfeif:
