Here’s the story behind this. This is my buddy highlifter 1k im talking about. Its all stock. A few weeks back he was riding and torque twisted his prop coming from the trans to the carrier. Twisted it bad enough to where it was hitting the frame. I have heard a few guys doing this out in the dunes but never in the mud. So he took took it to the dealer and they fought with him about warranty. He then called corp. and talked with them. They decided to pay for the shaft but wouldn’t cover the labor. Keep in mind the bike is still under its factory 6 month warranty and is completely stock. So he get its back out of the shop and we go ride over the weekend. No issues, having fun and then he goes through a spot that I just went through along with some other smaller 4 wheelers. That "new" shaft that was just installed twisted off about 10" from the trans output. No 4wd.
I don’t get it. I get on mine hard and have had it bound up in some holes and never had a prop issue with the 32s. Plus many more of our friends havent had a problem. Hes on the stock 29.5 outlaws and cant keep a driveshaft.
One thing he noticed is this new shaft that broke seems to be hollow. He said the other one felt solid. Can anyone confirm what they should be?
