August Hunting trip

Thought I would share a few pictures from our hunt last month. Went with my two older brothers, and one of my brother’s grandsons. Me and my oldest brother both got a medium sized caribou.
We like being comfortable, so along with our tents we all carry in 10×15’ or 10×20’ shelters that keeps all your gear dry and are nice to gather in in case of bad weather (just sitting inside a tent in the rain would suck). And we always have a facilities (outhouse).
One of the pictures shows the hoist I fab’d for use with the rear winch. It worked great. The caribou laying on the ground was the one I got (193 yards) and the one hanging was the one that my brother got (212 yards) (measured by GPS). I kept the back strap and tender loins for stew meat and had the rest processed for sausage and hotdogs. (and liverwurst).
I also fab’d a game rack for hanging the meat (due to the lack of trees). The hoist and game rack are made out of aluminum poles from military camouflage tents so it not too much weight and they are really strong.
