Attitude T26 FSAK/Generac 4700 oil overtemp?

I have an Attitude with stock Generac 4700. It is very clear the oil overtemp is tripping, however the oil sensor measures 300 degrees F according to my IR sensor. While studying this, it appears to me that there is no method for generator to ventalate in this RV. THere is no vent in the enclosed compartment, the only hole appears to be for exhaust. In addition, the muffler is in the same compartment, and it gets to 470 degrees F, only inches away from oil filter.

SHould this unit draw in fresh air? If so, where from? Seems like a bad design and bad implementation-bad enough to be in closed cabinet, but stuffed inside closed compartment with no air flow?!?…Granted, it has been 100F daily here, but this rig is designed to camp in desert for weeks for ATV-ing…
