It’s a 2000 Polaris Trail Boss 325. It was previously used as an EMS responder for fairs and such. So, it has pretty low hours. I paid $1,400 for it. I think that may have been a bit on the high side, but I was sold on the low hours thing.
It’s future life will be a lil’ hobby farm ATV. It’s main tasks will be collecting eggs, rounding up a couple cows and … of course, fun. I think it’ll be well suited for it’s new workload.
It’s been sitting a LOT (like A *LOT*), so there’s work that I need to do. So, I blew the dust off my Crescent socket set that I received for Christmas one year, but never opened. It’s pretty cool how shiny all the little sockets are. My first task was replacing the upper steering bushing. It was easier than I thought, which means I did it right -or- means it fixin’ to explode soon. Time will tell. I replaced the spark plug (due to persistent hard starting). I have new tires all around coming this week as well as brake pads. Yep, the Fisher Price My First Socket Set is going to get a work out.
My next task is cleaning out the carburetor, to (hopefully) resolve the hard starting.
