Hey guy’s new to the site figure I would share a new sportsman 850 sp story
Purchased in June I rode with no problems for the first 25 hrs or first service. Then shifting started to get harder and harder, turned out to be faulty primary clutch from factory, it kept changing the belt alignment which in turn destroyed the belt. Polaris replaced the clutch under warranty but not the belt even though they admitted the faulty clutch destroyed it do to alignment.
Fast fwd to the next weekend of riding, trails all weekend, perfect weather, rode for four days straight.
When I get home I always do a maintenance routine, wash, wax, lube. After giving each wheel a good shake I noticed the right rear with access play, turns out the a arm bushings are toast, the same a arm bushings I grease after every ride!!
Here’s where it gets better noise coming from the cv or diff probably due to loose a arm? I can’t say I’m pleased so could somebody tell me I bought the right quad.
I’ve put over 10000 miles on polaris quads before I bought this new one but my confidence and embarrassment in promoting polaris on the trails is getting to rattle me.
By the way I’m a 40 year old that doesn’t beat his equipment anymore just hanging with the guys running technical trails in low range
