I thought I found the limiter issue but that was not the case, long story and it does "appear" that is a flyweight issue and the stock ones are too light. More on this later as it comes about.
Anyway, in the process I did stumble across a issue. The helixes in the 16 XP 1000 "appear" to be cut wrong and not allow the inside rollers to run flush or flat on the helix.
Below are two pictures, one is used clutch with stock rollers and you can see the dark wear pattern showing the uneven wear then look you can see the gap under the inside of the roller
In the second picture is a brand new clutch and one of our future rollers, it is very apparent the issue
I pulled a older EBS style secondary apart and helix, the rollers run flat on those.
What if anything is Polaris going to do? No idea at this point, not sure they know they have a issue but I am trying to get my connections to pass it on
What will Hunterworks do about it? Nothing, we can’t get custom helixes made right now, Team is too busy with present production.
So this is just info for now and I wanted to pass it on.
The pictures might be deceiving but we were trying to make you see the wear and gap. On the lower pic with new roller, it is pulled all the way up. In the vehicle it rolls up one side of the helix and back down the other on decal and on this helix it will be running more on the outside than anything else in both situations
