I have a 2005 rancher 350FM 4×4 with the original stock steel rims. currently running 24x8x12’s front and 24x9x11’s on back. i’m looking to buy new tires for the winter and i’d like to move up a size. I was thinking of 25x9x12 on front. and 25x10x11 rear. however for some reason 25x9x12 seems to be a rare, odd and hard tire size to find. so I was wondering if I could just go with 25×10’s on the front and back. my question is since the stock front tires were 8’s can I put a 10in wide tire on the stock front rim? i’m positive the 9’s would have plenty of clearance and no rubs but what about the 10’s? and would the 10’s even fit the stock rim? and fit it without looking freakish? i’d love to see some replies from people who have had first hand experience with this same issue. and if anyone does have 25x10x12’s on there 2005 rancher i’d like to see a couple pic’s. pic’s and comments on the 25×9’s also welcome. I’ve got about $300.00 to spend and generally like a trail, dual purpose tire. nothing extreme-mud-alien-war assault or anything like that. and I don’t have any lifts or special mods. pure stock.
