2007 Sportsman 90 Won’t Rev Up

Hello all. I have used this forum for years from time to time and always found what I was looking for. Today I finally joined as I ran into an issue with the kids’ Sportsman 90 that I couldn’t find anything on.

We bought this machine used about 1.5 years ago and has run good up to this point. The machine has been run several times this year and this time we had it out for a week long trip. It was running fine and then quit moving. It will idle all day long but as soon as you push the throttle, it sounds like it is on the rev limiter. However, when you engage the brake, all is well. The motor will wrap up normally. Let off the brake and try to go, and you are back to the rev limiter.

I pulled the carb and checked the jets and all is well as expected. I suspect this is some "safety" measure shorted out or something but am looking for some help.

300TRX 2wd parts needed… where?

An old man down the street passed away a few days ago and I wound up with his ’95 300TRX 2wd. It neds some work but it runs and I only plan to ride to the deerstand and back down a dirt road (I have a rzr1000 to play with). Any parts yards that sell online or recommended websites? I know I need to completely rebuild the rear brakes and new bearings and seals out back and pretty much the same thing up front. Tore the final drive apart today and ordered bearings but not sure what to do with the brakes. Are there upgrades available or where can i pick up a used one that still works? Want to finish the rear then head to the front

Warn front bumper!!

I’ve been looking at the Warn front bumper model 75221 for a while I really like the mean and aggressive look and protection it gives the machine. Just wanted to know who has one and your thoughts on it and does it just bolt on over the factory bumper and plastic????:rocker:

Louisiana Trails Info? Kisatchie Info?

I live in NW LA…just got a Rubicon and eager to hit trails…all info online on Louisiana Trails seems outdated and the latest updates I found on it say the train crossing bridges are dangerous…anyone been there lately? What about Kisatchie? I heard the sandstone / green dot trail is the best there? Is it all sand or dirt or what? Thanks for any help here…I am not looking for bogged down mud pits but looking for trails that won’t sink me.

Was riding yesterday and been riding about an hour or so all of a sudden it died lost everything till it stopped then wouldn’t start heard bubbling waited 20 mins tried to start and it took right off fan never turned on help help help

2004 Foreman Rubicon 500 Dies

I just bought a Foreman 500 and it was running great at the house. Decided to take it out to ride on a large plot of land. Rode it all day long it rode very strong with no issues. On the way back to the truck was driving at 45mph and it died. Turned it off and back on. Went back up to 45 and died again. Started it back and made it back to the truck. Backed it off the trailer tonight back at the house and it was idling for 5 minuted and died. It won’t start now. I’ve got plenty of fuel in the tank. I never saw any temp warnings or other warnings. Any ideas ?

2012 Renagde 500 Limp home mode

Heyy guys, quick question went out for a ride the other day and my limp home mode kept coming on and off during the day, everything was fine for the first 2 hours, limp mode won’t come on for about 5 seconds and would go off, every few minutes it would do it probably for a half hour then be good for another hour. It usually came on around 5K-6K rpm, when limp mode came on it sounded like it was running on one cylinder exhaust was really weak. I do a farm bit of trail riding and I’m typically around the 3.5-6k rpm mark when riding.temp level was good 140-160℉. And the battery was charged up 2 trips prior to going out, and battery terminals were tightened up a day prior to the ride. Any one have any ideas why limp mode kept coming on and off during the day? Before it came on you could tell it was going to, sounded like you were govering out when it did. Any suggestions would be good thank you!! 🙂

How to get starter out??? 2007 Sportsman 500

Am pretty certain I have a bad starter on my 2007 Sportsman 500 HO EFI.

Battery has been replaced. Starter relay is not the problem. Have the service manual. Have seen the Youtube videos of earlier years starter replacement. Reciip is removed. Have new starter in hand.

Cannot figure out how the PVT intake duct comes out to allow the starter to be removed. The side panels of older ATVs uncover a bolt that hoids the duct in place. On the 2007 I cannot see a bolt that holds that duct in place.

Can someone PLEASE give me some direction?
