Custom V PLow

Who plows snow with their four wheelers?
I plow a few driveways in the area trying to make some extra cash in the winter time and figured it was time to give my old homemade plow a break and build a newer better plow. I came up with the idea to build a V plow reusing my old mount and push tubes So I can swap my old plow back on at any time when this idea doesn’t work. All the benefits of a V plow are only benefits if it’s controlled from the seat though and still fits in the truck, think right now its right on 8′ so may have to do some trimming in spots. Thinking Linear actuators to control the wings. Here’s what I’ve got so far. For any of you wanting to build one I took a few closer pictures of the hinge mechanism because it’s the hard part and the part that there seems to be no pictures of anywhere. Also for those of you that think it’s going to be HEAVY, that’s a big no right now. Still got lots of bracing left to do and all the mounts for the actuators but right now it’s a fair bit lighter than my old plow, will probably end up about the same maybe a bit heavier.
What do you think?:funnysuzuki:

Electrical connectors (weatherpack?)

Hello, I removed the brp heated grips from my 2015 can am outlander. When removing the wiring harness for the heated grips Im left with two open electrical connections. One male and one female weatherpack connections possibly? anyways was wondering do they plug together or just leave them both dead ended? The grips were installed at dealership, the two connections dont seem to do anything, I believe they are just accessory plug ins but why would the grips be plugged into both ? when google this I just people looking for a white connector for there heated grips but mine has two black connectors as does the heated grip brp wiring harness. Just wanted to know, might try and use these connections to install a different brand of heated grips.

Thanks

C

Favorite Trails around New York/Northeast

Hey everybody, first off i know that there is another section of this form that is specifically for trail talk but it doesn’t get nearly as many views.

So here is my question, what are some of your favorite/go to trails in the NY and surrounding area. I do not mind travailing as i have been to Tug Hill and even Mt. Washington but certainly wouldn’t mind trails closer then those.

Thanks in advance!

Ran without battery: Dead now.

06′ Hawkeye 300 2×4.
Took the battery out while it was running, daughter drove down the street and I heard a pop or backfire sound. Now it dead. Hooked the battery back up and was trying to pull start and the CDI started smoking, turned the key on and without trying to start and it smoked again. So without it being able to start it’s hard to test the electronics, but I know the CDI needs replaced. I checked the wiring and everything looks fine. Should I change the Voltage Regulator also? What about the Solinoid? Stator? How can I test them to see if they are working without the quad running?
