lookin at a 2016 grizz but nervious.

im lookin for a new machine its either gonna be a 2016 grizz or a 2012 brute with 200 miles and in new condition. the grizzly has everything over the brute except power and well I love power. is the grizz worth 2,000.00 more im not worried about resale value. the only things keeping me from the grizz is reliability of a first year machine and lack of power. I did read some posts of people complaining of stalling , hot legs , hot storage , running lean well you get the point. I have had 2 brutes in the past both were problem free. I trail ride and mud so whatever I get will get snorkeled and at least 28" tires. im only interested in the 2016 grizz no other years. I find 2007-2015 to be very uncomfortable. the 2016 feels like my old 2004 grizz. how has your 2016 grizz held up ?

Anybody know anything about the carbs on a 500?

Got a brand new carb for this thing but there are no screws for adjusting anything except for one on the very bottom on the engine side of the carb. No idea what that actually adjusts, as it seems to make no difference at any position, all in, all out or anywhere in the middle.
It has a dead spot right off idle where it’ll actually die if you try to just feather the throttle up to about 20% or so. If you quickly go past that point off idle, it’ll run and rev up like it should but it also seems to have issues at close to max throttle. It only likes midrange.
It starts and idles fine.
FYI the machine is new to me and I got it from a guy who said it needed a carb. It seemed to have the same issues with the original carb as well which I figured a new one would remedy.

Washing your quad

I always spray my quad off with the power washer on the lightest setting and at several feet away. Before anyone says it I know it supposed to be bad for it. But mine get the best maintenance possible. But anyways. I then hand wash everything even underneath it wires and all. Then sprayed off again. Then hand dried. The plastic is waxed. all black plastic armorall’d then underneath is completely wiped down by hand with tire shine wires, hoses, inside of tires, air box sides and lid. then everything lubed that I can. Does anyone else do this or am I just ocd about it.

02 Primary Clutch

Hey Im new here but i figured i would give it a shot I have my 02 sportsman 700 clutches apart upon inspection the surface the belt rides on is pretty cracked up and taking it apart our tool broke the piece of the aluminum that the clutch buttons ride in. My question is can I upgrade to a 06 primary and secondary clutch? I found someone with both for sale or does anyone know where I can get a decent used primary for a 02? Any help would be great!

differential strength ?

over the years ive pulled quite a bit of things with my trx 300fw, small trailers, deer, logs, and even 2 other atv’s at the same time but nothing that put to much strain on it.
now here is my odd idea. i can get my hands on another 300fw with a bad motor really cheap and im thinking about using the front and rear diffs, axles and transfer case to make a 4×4 garden tractor. my plan is to lock the transaxle from the tractor to make it a posi and mount it sideways. then drive the transfer case and rear diff driven by the transaxle. what im not sure about is if the trx parts will handle the low speed strain of plowing snow, gradind rock and dirt and pull a good amount of weight here and there.
thoughts and opinions please? i realize there are other ways of making this a 4×4 but just curious since i can get the parts cheap. thanks for your time and experience.
