Hey, this is my first post here, I have looked everywhere to find a clear answer on if on an older scrambler 400 or 500 for example with chain drive why can’t the sprockets be changed for gearing down to handle larger tires.all I have found is the suggestion of an old explorer trans which is nice to know, bit I don’t underatand why gearing in front can’t be changed to match rear to accomadate larger tires.can it be done or is it just too much work?I know the sprockets could be made company’s like sidewinder make custom sprockets for everything I want to build a one of a kind scrambler for mud riding but if I can’t go the route of changing sprockets I’ll probably just get an old king quad or something.thanks for any input and any pictures of how the front drive system works would be really aprecciated too

good day all
did a full snorkel, and went through a water hole to just below the seat, came out and had water in my cvt cover, not much, but enough to make my belt slip a bit, so do i have to pull my cvt cover off and clean everything inside, and should i run some rvt on the seal,

Rhino Not Starting
Well I will start by saying my rhino was really bad at back firing if you were on the gas very much and let off all of a sudden. Also if it was left idling for 15 seconds it would normally die. After it died sometimes it would be hard to start. Every once and a while it wouldn’t start back up but if I waited until the next day it would start the first try which made me think it was flooded. Now I can’t get it to start at all. Is their any tricks anyone has to help me get it started?
2006 Kodiak 450 Weights
I know there are a few forums topics in here that discuss this, but it seems they are all for the newer bikes.
I am seeking a better lower end at a minimal cost (Simply Changing the weights and possibly the 1.0m mod) But I can’t get myself a straight answer on what weight to go to, where to get them, and how to do it.
Since my bike is older I am not sure how accurate the information would be compared to the newer ones. So I need to know what size weight to go to, greasless or greased, what kind of grease if so, maybe a how to, and same with the shim.

I want a snappier low end, top speed isn’t a factor. I plow with my bike.

2005 predator tld
Hello, long time listener first time caller..
Im having a tough time getting this predator to start, which will not start, and hopefully someone can shed some light on what I’m over seeing.
Heres what occurred. Was out riding trails with my kids, took a break, went to restart with starter and crunch.. pull started it with sons quad, ran it a bit, loaded up and came home.
Pulled cover off and flywheel/oneway bolts backed out. Cleaned everything up, drained oil, got all the debris out, put new one way bearing, bolts, and gear. Put flywheel back on, key way is good, tightened flywheel nut to 125, put cover back on and no start. Pulled back apart multiple times, verified one way is in correctly, verified shaft key is good, verified torque on nut, have spark, have fuel, have air, checked cam timing marks with flywheel marks for tdc, all good, what am i missing??? Has to be something simple that im over seeing. This thing ran great with never a problem. Any insight will be appreciated. Thanks.

Morning folks,
New to the Grizzly thread (For Kodiak reasons) but wanted to make sure I have some knowledge to back up my 10 year old bike!
I’ve been on other forums for my other vehicles and the brother/sisterhood is usually pretty strong.

Broken axle!!!![emoji35]
Took my sportsman 570 on a late night ride last night and had to go over a downed tree. I found my self teetering so I rocked it and tried to gain traction. SNAP!! The front right axle breaks basically inside the hub. Not really sure what caused this but I’m obviously not happy.
On a side note..Is it worth getting beefy axles or just stick with factory?

Help!!!!!
I decided to fix the brake system on my 2001 sportsman 400. I WAS going to try and rebuild the rear caliper, it was beyond repair. I’ve ordered a new one , OUCH!!!!! Cost more than than my truck caliper!!!,any way does anybody know #1. Which bleeder is for the front and which is for the rear #2. What’s the best way to bleed this system. Bought a clymers, doesn’t show my caliper. #3. Anyone know where I can get a diagram on where all the brake lines go? Many missing, thanks!!!
Recent model years: Which has fewest issues?
I apologize if this has been asked before recently, I didn’t find it in a search.
I’m in the market for a brand new Grizzly 700. I’ll be making a list of dealers within a few hundred miles of here and calling to find out what they have on hand.

If a 2016 is the way to go, I’ll do that. But if a 2015 or 2014 is just as good, and I find a dealer that still has one and has marked it down a lot, I’d like to know whether that would be a good idea to pick that up instead.
Thanks for your input!
SxS ECU in Sportsman?
I was wondering if you could put like a RZR or Ranger’s ECU in a Sportsman 570? Or will it not work the same?
