No Spark 03 Trailblazer 250

Ok Ive done some research here and on google…ALL good info but still have a problem, no spark…Ive swapped a CDI box from a buddies 03 TB, Isolated the kill switch wire ( unpluged black wire at CDI box lead… checked ohmms to the stator- W/Br R/Blk 120 ohmms….Im thinking thats good…do these quads have coil issues? I bought this from an old dude who bought it brand new for his wife and shes never rode it. VERY low hours. Ive also checked the harness for any pinched wires ( had the gas tank off last to replace the leaking petcock) Im an ASE master auto tech but im stumped with this lil quad. Thanks!!!:)

Cross post: 2016 Rancher ES will crank but not start

Mods, apologies for the cross post (also in repair maintenance), just thought I may get some traction here and get this fixed before hunting season

Below are my posts on what I’ve tried so far. Please let me know if you have any advice. Next step is the dealership 😥:

ORIGINAL POST, UPDATE BELOW: I’m new to the site, so apologies if this is beating a dead horse

I purchased a new Rancher 420 ES in December, ran it a lot and then parked it in February. I’ve been in and out of the hospital since then, and haven’t had a chance to get back out on it. I went to start it this evening as I plan to go riding soon, and it’ll crank but won’t turn over and start.

I can hear the fuel pump when I turn on the key, all dash lights are working, headlights are bright, so it doesn’t seem like the battery.

Is this just some old fuel? Can I just add some sta-bil and/or an octance booster, or should I drain the tank.

Sorry for the new guy question, but thanks in advance for the help

FROM TODAY: Still having some issues. I syphoned the tank (didn’t know where to disconnect it from, but it read empty on the display) and added fresh fuel, checked the fuses (all good, unless there are more elsewhere than the rear fender cover by the battery), checked the spark plug and it looked brand new still so did not remove it, charged the battery on a Battery Tender Jr which showed the solid red light at first connection (according to the manual means it’s connected correctly and charging), and left it overnight. It was green this morning and according to the manual should be good to go.

I think this is my problem, the battery. I tried to start it a few times, no luck. Thought it may be flooded, so went through the ‘flooded engine’s procedure in the manual a few times, still no luck. Checked the terminal connections again, checked the spark plug connection again, all good there, still won’t crank, just tries and tries. I hooked the battery tender up again, and just from about 30-45 min it’s already back to the red light (hooked up appropriately and charging).

Does it sound like just a bad battery? I have it hard wired in now under the terminal connections, so when it shows charged again I’m going to try leaving it connected and starting it that way. The manual says trying to jump it with my car or truck may blow it so I’d rather stay away from that. Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance? I’m about to pop a top and drown my sorrows, lol

850 sportsman left rear shock rubbing sway bar attachment.

I’ve got a 2014 Sportsman 850xp and while loading it yesterday into my truck I noticed the spring was rubbing on the sway bar mount. I looked at the frame and I don’t see a bend, nor do I see a bend in the shock or a arm. I haven’t torn the wheel off yet and checked anything real good just trying to see if anyone else has experienced this. I’ve attached three pics… 2 of where it rubs and how close it is and 1 of the other side for reference.

HELP!!! 07 sportsman 500 efi not running right.

I have an 07 sportsman 500 efi ho with 28" zillas. I have a problem today I got on it and rode for probably 10 minutes and went to give it some gas to go on down the road and at about 5000-6000 rpm it cut out and back fired so I came to a stop and it was idling rough and then just cut off. I Crunk it back up like nothing was wrong and drove probably 3 minutes up the road and it didn’t do it again until I left off the gas, I was at about 4000 rpm this time. I normally run 89 non ethanol but yesterday I wasn’t thinking and put reg 87 in it. So when I got it home (today) after all of this I put a bottle of seafoam in it, still no luck. I’ve also noticed it’s running about 3000-4000 rpm at 15-20 mph and it hasn’t ever rode that high. My clutch cover is also hot after this short ride. What could the problem be? All this started today. Any help would be appreciated and thanks
