Quad won’t stop

I filled the clutch case with water yesterday in a deep hole and when I got it home I cleaned them out best I could without removing them. Today I went to do a little yard work and when I release the throttle it still moves slightly. Is that from not cleaning them good enough ? Or something else from the water?

1990 Trail Boss 250 Idle

My 250 2×4 runs great, but will not idle. In the past, once I drove it for a while it would seem to idle. But now, I can ride for 3 hours and when I stop it will shut off. It doesn’t even need gas to stay running, as long as I just barely touch the throttle, it will stay running. I am wondering if there is something in the throttle that isn’t allowing it to stay running.

Thanks in advance for any help.

2001 Rancher 350 Engine Oil Seal leaking

Hey everyone, I’m new to the forums, just got a 2001 Rancher 350 foot shift.

I was doing some work to bypass the neutral safety switch because it went out, and accidentally yanked out some type of oil seal on the left side of the motor next to the shifter. I’m not very mechanically inclined so I don’t know the correct term for it, but it’s a rubber piece that has wires running through the middle of it into the motor. I managed to get the rubber piece shoved back into the tiny hole, but it’s not sitting like it was before and now there’s a little bit of oil leaking out of it. Also, I’m worried it’s not water tight.

Is there anything I can do to properly seal this again? It seems nearly impossible to get it back to how it was originally because the hole it goes into is so small and the rubber piece is so big. You guys have any suggestions?
