I know this is a grizz forum but maybe you guys can help. Have an 04 Kodiak 400 when cranked it just blows smokes the whole time. To my knowledge constant smoke means the rings are toasted on the piston. I did a compression test and got 180 psi. Shouldn’t if my rings are bad make my compression decrease? Any advice is helpful thank you in advance!

Is this possible that when the recon was running it and my friend cut it off, he tried to pull the pull starter and it was not on properly and when he pulled it the 14mm bolt that is holding the alternator on the motor and the wings could have messed the stator up because it is right where pull starter is on the inside
Hey guys I’m putting in a 1040 kit from mr rpm , got the front cylinder completed. But I went to removing the back cylinder head bolts and noticed I can’t get them out. The motor is still in the bike. Any tips?!
I was riding around the house and felt an odd knock on a slow off camber turn. I rode back to the house and started checking over everything and found a bad inner tie rod end and both front axles with some "slop" in them. Replaced the tie rod ends and took it for a test ride and still felt the knock. I know that Polaris has some play in their front axles, but I have never felt mine this way before. 4×4 does work and there is no grinding sounds. Just hope I dont need to drop 1k on a new diff. Videos of the axles attached.
When I bought my 2015 Sportsman, it had sat unused since Oct of last year. The battery was dead, however I charged it and everything worked fine. Since that time I have ridden the machine several times but when I start it, I can tell the battery is weak. I am afraid it will leave me stranded. So I am asking what brand battery do you experienced guys use in you machines?
