Royal Distributing

I have a 2013 Polaris Sportsman 400HO that I have been trying to order a front outer cv joint for but the above dealer has wrong part listed for machine. Ive checked serial number to make sure its a 2013 and it is. Any one else have problems ordering parts from there. Their prices are way better then anywhere else so I want to stay with them. the part they sent me ( now 2 different ones ) is for a bigger shaft: thanks:

Rolled machine

I let a friend of mine ride my 2008 660 and she was not experienced I told her to go slow and well.. She didn’t I watched her roll it doing between 30 and 40 she was lucky and only walked away with a bruise and a small scratch my machine however is not that lucky from what I can find I’m looking at a front left control arm and ball joints possible shock and some rack bending anything else that I should possibly look at? I may need to put new seals and bearing in the front differential as well because it stated to leak Thanks in advance guys

94 polari sportsman problems and questions

94 Polaris sportsman 400 my first 4×4 four wheeler but not my first wheeler. I am new here and saw a lot of good answers and knowledge here so I figured it was best place for me to ask my questions.

Background of wheeler. I got the bike on trade and it didn’t run. So I did the basics like clean carb and gas tank and well starter was squalling pretty good but it got it started so I replaced the starter all new. Well noticed crack in reservoir and fixed it with resin and plastic weld held up good. Noticed a few other little things such as throttle cable replaced due to breakage on oil pump side. Adjusted everything in specs by the manual and still could not get the thing to stay idle due to the ETC and was adjusted by the book to its specs. Alrighty fixed that by unhooking it for now. Will not idle ion revers or go in reverse by speed wise with the rev limiter hooked up so I unhooked it and it works good until I replace it. That’s the way im going to run it for now.

Alrighty my questions I have.
1. Motor over heated and popped line off of the top of the head and now When you pull cap off of radiator it shoots antifreeze 5 feet in air. What do I need tostart checking?
2. I know lights on dash are blown so im going to swap those to LEDS if I can or can I?
3. I have not checked the fan and how do you check it?

4. I know most likely since the bang with the line popping off that the head gasket needs replaced. How hard is it?

5. With me doing it by myself. Do I need to go ahead and replace the seal in between the water pump and inner case ? or do you think I can just get away with replacing the head gasket?

6. I am pretty mechanically inclined so I know I can do the work myself just realy never messed with a 2 stroke engine before so is this going to be an Easier task or pretty hard to accomplish?

Thanks for reading this long session.,

TRX350 questions

Hi all, so I’ve recently bought a 1990 TRX350. Got it for $450 so needless to say its rough. The previous owner messed up a ton of stuff including bypassing the fuel cut relay with a on/off pull switch running to an aftermarket pump also a 2 wire ignition toggle among other things. My newly installed parts to date are an oem ingition with all 6 wires going where they should, fuel pump (running off relay like its supposed to) ,choke cable new from the switch to plunger including cable retaining clip, carb kit,oil and filter, gear oil front and rear, Air filter, Fresh oil change and filter, spark plug, battery, starter relay. I’ve just adjusted the valves also. And frame has a nice new coat of tremclad 🙂

My first few questions of many are…

1- At the choke switch my cable end falls out the bottom. Am I missing something?

2- Is there adjustment for the choke as in or out doesn’t make any change to how it runs.

3- Hard to start if it has sat for a few days like the carb is dry but I have no leaks.

4- I have smoke puffing out the crankcase vent tubes once it warms up. Causes?

This quad has seen better days and was not well takin care of. It’s in good hands now. I believe it has sat along time also so I am hoping once I get the brakes working and go for a good run everything will straighten out. Any suggestions would be great.

2004 Grizzly 660 Will Not Start After Being Washed

I have a 2004 grizzly 660 that my son drives primarily. The last two times he has taken it out and it needed to be washed when he brought it back so i put him to work cleaning it. Each time when he was finished the ATV wouldn’t start. It will turn over but it will not start. I was able to finally get it to start by fully choking it but not giving it any throttle. It would run with full choke but if i tried to give it any throttle or reduce the amount it was choked then it would die. After fighting with it for 10-20 minutes and letting it run with full choke the ATV finally let me give it a little throttle and reduce the choke. If I gave it much throttle at all it would still sputter and die. Then after a little while longer it finally let me give it quite a bit of throttle and started to behave normally.

Could the issue be water getting into the fuel somehow? I have instructed him not to spray the water hose at the carb or the top of the fuel tank where the cap is but it still didn’t seem to avoid the issue this last time. Is there something else that we should be avoiding when washing the ATV? I hate having to wait for hours after washing it to finally get it started and pulled into the shop.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
