So just bought 2017 mrx1000 last month…after my first weekend ride up in N.H. im not sure this quad is for me ugh! I traded in a 2013 xtp shorty with 4500 miles which i loved no complaints except for the squeeks and clunks lol you all been there. So heres my problem… i ride 2up with my wife at least half the time so got the long wheelbase and a 2 up seat but the ride is so rough she’s halving a terrible time hanging on. I no get a new wife hahaha! Not going to happen i enjoy her company on the trail to much. So did i mess up and just need to bite the bullet and by a max with the long travel fox’s or is there any hope? Also ran dry with only 67 miles on first tank. Used to go 90 to 100 two up on the same trails with my old xtp.

I went riding on Saturday and we ended up going through quite a few mud holes. I got home, parked the Commander til the next day. The next day I drove about 3-4 miles and overheated. When I looked in the airbox the filter was packed with mud and water as was the front of the radiator. Rookie move I guess not checking the air filter box from the previous ride.
I cleaned out the box as best as I could but I’m worried about the water/mud that got into the clean air intake hose.
Any suggestions? Last thing I want to do is ruin the engine.

Okay…. I need snorkles where I ride. Not because "it looks cool" but because when it rains there are some areas of 3-4+ feet of water!!!

I have an 04 sportsman 400. I have been unable to find any type of kits or anything that is made for this bike.

Does anyone know of a web page or other into to help with this?

I’m in Canada. Not as many options for parts it seems. Any recommendations for Canadian parts and accessories websites?

My 2011 rancher died saturday, it will crank but wont start. I dont hear the fuel pump when i turn the key on, only a buzz near the bottom of the seat. I assumed it was the fuel pump, but im not getting any voltage to the pump. I plan on replacing the fuel filter while i have it apart. I connected 12V to the fuel pump after i removed it, it works. I dont hear the relay click behind the battery. I have 12V at the harness the relay plugs into, so im inclined to believe the relay is bad. Some local "4 wheeler repairmen" i questioned today all told me it was probably something else. Is it common for this relay to go bad?

Has anyone actually had the exhaust system ceramic coated?
If so did it help with the felt temps?
I just bought a new 570 touring sp and called a local shop and they said between $50 and $100 to have them put ceramic coating on it so I was just wondering if it really helps or not.

Looking for ideas on what might be the primary culprit to start looking at. Rig is at lease and buddy sent this to me after using it this weekend. 2003 Sportsman 6×6
