Itp Sand Star and 312 wheels for Dunes.

Hey all.
I’m looking at a set of front and rear sand tires for my 2016 Touring 570 SP. Liking the Itp Sand Stars and SS 312 wheels but wondering if spending the money on them will be enough of a difference than stock tires. Also wondering if the 12 inch wheels (4/156 ITP SS312 Alloy Series Wheel 12×7 4.0 + 3.0) will fit from the stock 14’s that the touring comes with will be ok. I checked Rocky Mountain ATV for sizing and pricing. Shows to fit but wanted to see if anyone here on forum has had experience with this setup on the Touring SP model?
Any good info would be appreciated.

Full throttle falling on its face with blue smoke!

Hello and thanks in advance for any help. To start with this is an 08 420fm. So I got this with a broken timing adjuster. Replaced adjuster and timing chain. I’m certain the timing is correct. I also replaced the fuel filter and spark plug and air filter. The problem is when riding, up to about half throttle it runs and idles great. Over half throttle it starts to stumble, and at full throttle it falls on its face and starts smoking(burning oil) blue smoke. Anyone have this happen to them. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Killed my Grizzly 400

Well ,,, we all know what happens when you borrow something out…

Long story short: Borrowed Grizzly 400 to Wifes brother , stick into radiator hose on bottom of machine , not noticed as it was in a river when happened. Take up north , borrow to same brother in law , he drives it 14 miles with NO coolent.

Even though he was in front of me , and we stopped SEVERAL times ,, he waited until it was NUCLEAR hot , and would not move anymore to ask me ,
"What does this RED light mean ?"

I shut it off immediately , asked how long has it been on ?
He says , at least the last 10-15 mins.

Motor is cooked , rings gone I’m sure , who knows what else might be junk. It was so hot his nuts must have been melting.. WOW , and what do you do …. He says to me
" good thing I told you hey"

It’s a little f#cking late now I said… lol… Family , what can you do..

So , anyone have any experience with a rebuild on a 400 ?
any advice ?

Planning on rebuilding it ,, sure it needs a piston , rings , and lots of new seals. Going to go .50mm over.
Hopefully head is not warped , and cylinder is not cracked , if they are ,, cost about $600 each pc..

Any advice appreciated.

Broken Front Spring

My Sportsman just clicked 5,200 Miles last weekend while riding in the Black Hills. Besides the glowing exhaust issues and melting plastics, which were fixed once I went to the HMF Exhaust, this machine has been pretty much trouble free. Original wheel bearings, original ball joints, and only a few of the bushings have needed replacing. But over the weekend, this happened:

I was coming up over the top of a hill, and when I got over the crest, it dropped off sooner than expected. I think the hard landing in combination with the extra weight up front from the gear and rotopax’s I was carrying took out the spring. Was able to get it back to the trailer, and luckily this happened during our last hour of riding.

I have to say, this machine has seen a lot of hard riding once the exhaust issues were fixed, so I’m impressed with how it’s held up.

I would recommend checking your springs and retainers if you’re getting up there in miles – it seems like maybe the springs get fatigued over time.

SYA Warrior Kit

Redid my setup with SYA. Turned out great. Went with the same place instead of side. I moved everything up bc I keep hitting them. I love them and the look. The slide together! Not finished but just FYI..

Try to post pics but gave me some gay ass post count bullshit!

New to Polaris, please help!!!

Hello all!

I just picked up a 2005 scrambler 500 4×4 and I noticed real quick that is needs new rear carrier bearings. I went ahead and picked up a new set of bearings/ seals.

I would really really like to know if any has a "how to" for the rear bearings or someone can simply relay a step by step process to get the axle out and the new bearings in.

Thank you all!

2017 Outlander XTP 850 First Impressions

I am in a loss for words to describe my experience with my brand new triple black Can Am! After spending some time adjusting the preload settings, I was wheeling and jumping my bike all day long in the mountain trails. This bike has handled everything I’ve thrown at it effortlessly. This literally is the most fun you can have with your clothes on! I will say I can ride wearing shorts without burning my leg now. My wife’s 570 is terrible to ride due to the heat so this was a very welcomed improvement.

The power is super addicting and plentiful especially after riding a 570 outlander. I would highly recommend this quad to any atv enthusiast.
